The Landes has very alluring gourmet food and culture. Traditional cuisine is very generous with foie gras, duck or croustade. The ‘course landaise’ (where experienced ‘écarteurs’ leap over horned cows) provides great entertainment. The Vélodyssée bike trail, criss-crossing the wild coastline, and ecolodges provide an environmentally-friendly trip.
